Heartfelt Memorials.
DISTINCTIVE, VIRTUAL, END-OF-LIFE CELEBRATIONS
Just where you are. Just as you are. Just as you wish.
Kit Pappenheimer and Lynnea Brinkerhoff are co-founders of Heartfelt Memorials, LLC. Lynnea is an ordained Interfaith Minister, a Disaster Chaplain, and "End of Life Doula". Kit is a former educator, teaching and running public schools and a long time hospice volunteer. Both are ICF certified Executive Coaches, employing heart-based, body-oriented and trauma-informed practices with a fierce belief in the resilience of the human spirit to face and honor the end of life with dignity and grace.
Saying goodbye to our dear ones is even more difficult in these post pandemic times. For many folks now, funerals and memorials held online can provide some sense of ease. They can also provide a means for far-flung community members to attend and share their sentiments when otherwise they might not have been able. You end up with a lovely recording of stories and remembrances as well as broken hearts made whole . Just where you are. Just as you are. Just as you wish. We invite your distinctive and creative ideas for how best to celebrate the life of your loved one.
Would you like a distinctive, virtual and collaborative memorial service — allowing family and friends to memorialize, eulogize, and celebrate loved ones remotely? We invite your creative ideas for how to best celebrate the life of your loved one remotely—post Covid and beyond. You can count on Reverend Lynnea and Kit to assist, to plan, co-create and /or guide you in the memorial of your wishes. Family, friends and community can now virtually attend your loved one’s end-of-life celebration and we are uniquely equipped to support you during this time of mourning. The act of planning itself —and of convening your community for a special memorial — can offer much comfort as you honor the memory of your loved one. It can also provide a creative outlet and a meaningful way to express your grief energy. Let Heartfelt Memorials help you create the experience you envision.
From first contact through your event, we are here to listen. We are your support, here to help you manifest exactly what you envision to honor your loved one. So we begin by listening. We assist you in discovering what is right for you and your loved one’s community.
Together, the creation begins. With you, we manifest your vision. From music to poetry to facilitation as needed, we will work together to create exactly what you imagine. We’ll handle the tech logistics. We’ll make sure your attendees get the information they need to join the memorial gathering. You can focus on the important stuff.
We will be there for you. You have done everything to prepare: now you just show up for your loved one’s celebration. We will support you before, during and after the service.
Now that you have proper closure, you can open to your loved one’s presence and to your rewoven community in new ways. With this in mind, your service will be recorded and a digital copy provided. The video recording will be viewable on a dedicated webpage. Our wish is that these recorded memories will continue to gift you over time.
“The resulting Zoom Celebration was exactly what we wanted. Kit moved us through the planning and celebration with grace, humor, and buoyancy. Though separated by land and sea, time, distance and borders, for that hour we were all together. I did not know that people could gather so closely via computer screen. The entire process, from planning to completion was everything I needed it to be, and though sad to lose such a dear friend, I feel that all of us, including Ann, clicked “leave meeting!” at peace…”
“I am very happy and grateful to Kit Pappenheimer for her love and guidance during the time of my father’s passing. At a personal level, the ritual and the calm it inspired helped me to channel my own swirling emotions and just be present in the moment. This sense of being present for my father and with the rest of my family is a memory I treasure and am deeply grateful for. Thank you Kit Pappenheimer for leading us in this…”
“If this is how Lynnea officiates under the spectacularly dismal circumstances of Covid and the grief of losing her own mother, I can only imagine how rich, comforting and well-styled her memorials for others might be. It is appropriate- her title of Reverend for she unequivocally reveres and exudes reverence for all sorts of people, of all nationalities, ages and religions and is devoted to serving them and their beloveds with the utmost care and detail…”
“I've been speaking with friends and family ever since about going online with weddings, memorials and celebrations of all kinds - guided by the deeply tuned-in, reverential to all participants and audaciously articulate Lynnea…”
“Lynnea has a unique set of skills and gifts that enable her to connect all together in a passionate and loving remembrance of the departed…”
Kit and Lynnea were recently interviewed by Frank Samson, founder of Senior Care Authority on the “Boomers Today” podcast.

Mom died during this crazy isolating COVID time. Through the din of my grief, I heard from her community: friends and family sending their love and condolences, all yearning to come together to share who mom was to them. I needed to organize a memorial. So much stuff came up in these first few days.
